Layers

Create a Project

The onboarding wizard. Pick a source, confirm details, upload media, meet ambassador, connect socials, activate, and generate a first content batch.

View as Markdown

A Project represents one app or one brand. Create one from any Org by clicking into an organization and starting a new project. The URL is /create-project/{orgId}/start.

The wizard

The wizard walks you through these screens in order:

  1. Pick a source — GitHub repo, App Store listing, or website URL.
  2. Connect — choose the specific repo / app listing / URL for the source you picked.
  3. Confirm details — analysis runs inline here; when it finishes you review and edit app name, description, tagline, target gender, primary language, brand voice, and website.
  4. Upload media — logo, end card, and mobile screens / demo video.
  5. Meet the ambassador — Layers generates an AI brand ambassador image; accept or edit it.
  6. Connect socials — Instagram and TikTok. Skippable.
  7. Activate — loading screen while keyword research finishes and layers initialize.
  8. Generate first content — three optional remix screens (UGC, video, slideshow); each can be generated or skipped, then you land on the generated content tab.

Some steps are skippable (socials, each of the three generate screens). Steps 1–5 and 7 are always required.

Quick path

If you want a Project for an app you don't have a repo or App Store listing for, pick Website URL and enter your marketing site.

What happens during activation

The Activate screen runs while the system:

  1. Waits for keyword research to produce hashtags for the project.
  2. Initializes the default project layers that were queued during the earlier steps.

On success you're routed into the first generate step. On timeout (3 minutes waiting for keywords) the in-progress project is purged and you're sent back to the start of the wizard.

Required fields

The only fields the wizard collects directly are the ones in Confirm details: app name, app description (min 100 chars), tagline, target gender, primary language, brand voice, and optional website. Repo / app IDs are detected automatically from your chosen source.
