# Add a Creator (/docs/ugc/add-creator)



## Search SIFT [#search-sift]

From the UGC creators page, filter by:

* Platform (TikTok, Instagram).
* Follower range.
* Engagement rate range.
* Niche / keywords.

Click a result to add the creator to your project's roster. The
creator's recent posts sync into `platform_posts` on the next
`global-platform-posts-sync` cycle (every 30 minutes), pulling up to
50 most recent posts per account.

## SideShift-managed flow [#sideshift-managed-flow]

For the managed program, creator onboarding happens in SideShift —
Layers ops manages the contract, brief, and deliverable lifecycle there
and syncs the resulting contracts + creators into Layers via the
`sideshift-sync-program` workflow (every 10 minutes). Creators appear
in your roster automatically once enrolled in SideShift.

## Behavior after adding [#behavior-after-adding]

Adding a creator:

* Creates a `social_accounts` row linked to a `platform_accounts`
  identity.
* Triggers SIFT post collection on the next sync cycle.
* Makes the creator's posts eligible for scoring and (if scored above
  threshold) for ad selection.
