# Managed Social Distribution (/docs/social/managed-accounts)



Managed Social Distribution is a separate layer template from Social
Distribution. It routes generated content to a managed TikTok account
operated by a fulfilment **provider** — today `ds` (Double Speed) is
the shipped provider; `ssh` (Social Scale Hub) is reserved for the
future.

## Billing [#billing]

Managed Social Distribution is prepaid at **$150 per managed account per
month** (`managed-dist-account-fee`), on top of any other layer spend.

## How it differs [#how-it-differs]

* No OAuth — you don't connect your own TikTok. The provider runs the
  handle on your behalf.
* `distributionMode` is `automatic` only — the provider decides
  posting time. Layers submits posts once per day at
  `config.schedulingTimeUtc` (default `00:00` UTC).
* Only `generationMode: "automatic"` makes sense here, since you rely
  on the provider to post whatever Layers sends them.
* `provider` and `providerConfig` fields are operator-configured via
  ladmin; there's no self-serve setup path.

## Reporting [#reporting]

Managed-account posts show up in the same analytics tables as OAuth
accounts. Filter by layer in the UI to isolate managed activity.
