# Onboarding Step 8: Generate First Content (/docs/projects/onboarding-content-gen)



After the Activate step finishes initializing layers, you land on the
first of three remix screens. Each screen lets you generate one piece
of content or skip to the next:

1. **UGC remix** — a reaction clip + your influencer + a demo video
   combined into short-form UGC.
2. **Video remix** — a trending TikTok video reworked with your
   influencer and product media.
3. **Slideshow remix** — a trending TikTok slideshow rebuilt with your
   influencer and product media.

Each screen has an intro "recipe card" showing the inputs; clicking
**Continue** opens the builder. From the builder you can **Generate** or
**Skip**.

## What you do on each screen [#what-you-do-on-each-screen]

* Pick from the sourced TikTok videos/slideshows (for video/slideshow
  steps) or pick a reaction clip (for UGC).
* Tweak any available prompt / hook fields the builder exposes.
* Click **Generate**. You're advanced to the next remix step as soon
  as the generation is kicked off — the render happens in the
  background.

## After the slideshow step [#after-the-slideshow-step]

Whether you generated or skipped, finishing the slideshow step lands
you on `/project/{projectId}/content/generated`, where generations —
including any still rendering — show up as they complete.

## Cost [#cost]

Each generation consumes project credits. Credit costs are tracked on
the project row (`purchased_credits`, `subscription_credits`,
`promotional_credits`, `remaining_credits` in the `projects` table).
