# Onboarding Step 5: Meet the Ambassador (/docs/projects/onboarding-ambassador)



This step generates an AI "brand ambassador" — a synthetic influencer
portrait that Layers will use as a recurring face in UGC-style content.
It is **not** a feature tour.

## What happens [#what-happens]

1. The wizard starts generating a portrait using the target gender and
   brand context captured earlier (you see a loading screen with a
   rotating status card).
2. When it's ready, the portrait appears with a suggested name and a
   short paragraph introducing the ambassador.
3. Click **Edit Influencer** to regenerate with a different prompt, or
   **Continue** to accept.

On Continue, Layers saves the ambassador as a completed influencer in
the project's influencer library and wires it into the Social Content
layer (`wireToContentLayer: true`). You can manage the full list later

## Errors [#errors]

If the preview generation errors out, the wizard auto-skips ahead to
the social step rather than blocking you.
