Wallet & Billing for Ads
How agency-mode ad spend flows through the Layers wallet and shows up on your invoice.
In agency mode, Layers funds ad-platform spend from your Org wallet and bills you on a consolidated invoice. In BYO mode, you pay platforms directly. See Agency vs BYO.

Top up the Org wallet via card or ACH/wire. Card is instant; ACH/wire is 1–3 business days.
Auto-top-up
Set a trigger threshold and a top-up amount. When balance drops below the trigger, Layers auto-charges your card and adds the top-up amount. Daily cap prevents runaway charges.
Wallet floor, forecast, and per-project allocation
Behaviors like an auto-pause floor, forecasted spend panel, and per-project attribution of wallet debits are part of the wallet UI surface on Org → Wallet — see that page for what's currently exposed.
Invoices
Layers' monthly invoice includes (at minimum): subscription, generation
credits consumed, and a 5% platform fee applied to credit purchases
(credit_pricing_config.platform_fee_percent). Line-item exactly what
appears depends on your plan.
BYO billing
In BYO, the wallet doesn't apply. Platforms charge your card on file directly. Layers' invoice still includes:
- Subscription.
- Generation credits.
- Layers usage.
But no media-spend lines, no platform fees.
Refunds
- Subscription refunds — prorated on downgrade.
- Unused credits — non-refundable; roll over 90 days.
- Wallet balance — withdrawable to original payment method, less processor fees.
