# Layer Billing (/docs/layers/billing)



The **Billing** tab on every layer shows that layer's contribution to your
invoice. Useful for understanding which layer is the cost driver and for
chargeback to internal cost centers / clients.

## Cost components [#cost-components]

| Component               | Source                                                                                                                        |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Generation credits      | Each AI generation consumes credits (e.g. video = 120, slideshow = 50). See [credits](/docs/concepts/wallet-billing#credits). |
| Ad spend (agency mode)  | Wallet debits, plus platform fee                                                                                              |
| Subscription allocation | Layer's share of your plan's monthly subscription                                                                             |

## Date filters [#date-filters]

Default: current month. Use the picker to look at any range.

## Invoice mapping [#invoice-mapping]

Each line on your monthly invoice maps to one or more layers. Click a line
in **Org → Billing → Invoices** to see which layers contributed.

## Per-client allocation (agency) [#per-client-allocation-agency]

For agency Orgs, the per-Project breakdown on the invoice flows directly
into client billing. Contact support if you need per-client markup on top of
Layers' platform fee.
